Not Every 'Parkour' Is Michael Scott's Stunt On Office Sofa; This Viral Video Is Proof

Aug 02, 2023

The term 'parkour' has an established image. The moment someone mentions it, 'cultured people' immediately think of the 'The Office' scene about parkour by default. It's as if Michael Scott's voice shouting 'parkour!' has been ingrained in the minds of the fandom, and that is the only thing that comes to mind when hearing the term parkour. This automatically associates it with a fun and enjoyable vibe. However, parkour is not as easy as Scott made it sound while attempting it on his office sofa in the reception area. In fact, the whole activity can be riskier than one, especially an 'Office' fan, can imagine.

With that being said, a video showcasing a more 'serious' side of parkour is now going viral on social media. The viral video, initially shared on the Instagram handle 'storror,' depicts a 'near-accident' that could have turned disastrous within seconds.

Subsequently, the channel shared the complete video on its YouTube channel, also named Storror. The extended version of the YouTube video begins with a group of people getting excited about their day on Torpedo Island. The video, titled 'Parkour GONE WRONG on TORPEDO ISLAND,' then proceeds to the part where a parkour enthusiast nearly falls into the ocean while walking on an old wooden bridge. The narrow width of the bridge alone conveys the inherent risks these individuals were taking. The video also highlights a few other potential accidents that could have occurred.

Since its release, the video has gone viral and has garnered various reactions from internet users. "I know the safety team is funny and everything but this place was actually a bit wild - Max not far from drowning, Callum getting properly smashed up, and a drone down in the ocean. Stay safe boys," a user commented. Another user expressed their concern over the team and said, "Max's accident was actually worse than Callum's believe it or not. He didn't get hurt but if the guys hadn't heard him or snapped to it right when they did, it could have turned into a very serious rescue mission. Ocean currents are not a joke. Another reason water is God."
